Who thinks that Sri Aurobindo is one of the foremost thinkers of all time?
He has given us a synthesis of the East and West by "The Life Divine,"(which if you wish to read it, it is quite fun to read 1100+ pages of philosophy), he has given his own vision of unity with diversity through "The Ideal of Human Unity," and has granted one of the foremost epics of the English Language, "Savitri." Although I am of the West, he speaks with more fluidity than both Milton and Kant put together. 1 year ago

He is much more than that. Actually, he never thought. He SAW, and expressed his vision in such a way that we thinking people are able to grasp some of it. And he DID, so that things that weren't possible became possible. 1 year ago Source(s): http://thisquantumworld.com/PDF/GEBCONF1...

Whenever a higher principle manifests itself, it transforms the lower ones. Life transforms matter, mind transforms life and matter, supermind transforms mind, life, and matter. Sri Aurobindo and the Mother are the only ones of which I can say with confidence that they have completed the supramental transformation of mind and life. If anyone completes the supramental transformation of the body, it will be BIG news indeed. You won't miss it. 1 year ago

Hinduism has an inherent strength of syncretism of opposing views and Sri Aurobindo has successfully and genuinely expounded on the Being and the non-Being through the process of Becoming. We the Western scholars have lot many to learn in Hindu Philosophy and Indians are neglecting their treasure which is made simpler by Sri Aurobindo like erudite philosophers.
