CHENNAI: A former landfill in the city is set to become an urban jungle of the green variety in another six months. The Chennai Corporation has taken up an urban afforestation project with the assistance of Joss Brooks, an ecologist from Auroville, across 10.5 acres behind the Otteri Burial Ground and Corporation garbage transfer station. Mr. Brooks has been working on recreating the environment of the Coromandel Coast for the past 35 years. Seeing a garden that had been set up in Auroville, Former Corporation commissioner M. P.
