8pm Dance - AAVISHKAR Sri Aurobindo Auditorium (map) Director choreographer Kalpesh Dalal and his troupe from AAVISHKAR the academy of Performing Arts in Ahmedabad present the rich and varied cultural heritage of Gujarat through its folk dances and music. Aavishkar which means ‘discovery’ has been helping the urban youth re-discover, through dance workshops and performances the roots of their cultural traditions. Aavishkar’s purpose is not to entertain the masses but to make the younger generation experience the spirit and philosophy inherent in the traditional folk and tribal dances, arts and culture.
