What is the difference between the myth and Purana पुराण?
The best definition of myth I have found is from Joseph Campbell. That it is a collective dream. CG Jung related it to the Unconscious and human archetypes. A myth is usually a story with psychological, historical, cultural undertones
Purana, in the Indic context, has primarily a spiritual basis, no matter how diluted or partially expressed. It seems to be an attempt to take the Vedic revelation and make it available to the masses. The Itihasa also brought the Vedic insights to the Indic people in a brilliant manner. However, the Purana and Itihasa are not history in the western sense and we should be careful to separate the Indic approach from the west. The Puranas and the Itihasa are a document of the inner journey of the Indic people, individually and collectively
Am sure there will be significant disagreements. Would welcome your thoughts

The Veda is eternally new. But this is not theory. This is my constant experience
How does this happen? You see, the Veda takes you from word-meaning to word-feeling
To appreciate the Veda, you have to drop all prior notions. You have to hold it as a most delicate flower on your fingertips. You have to kiss it with your lips. You have to let it vibrate through your skin and bone. It is an entirely sensory experience
But more. It resonates through the brain. And the marrow. You can perceive it through new senses that grow even as you learn to listen and see. And then new meanings happen
I thank the Veda Purusha for not filling me up with scholarly knowledge early on. To know nothing and embrace the Beloved anew with great love is the sense the Veda gives. Every time I think I am done it pulls me in.
I wrote a whole book on the Literary Genius of the Bhagavad Gita to explain how it accomplishes this constant newness brilliantly. But the Gita only follows the method of the Veda. To turn word into music, meaning into revealing. That is the Literary Genius of our Sruti

"I'll finally be happy when ____."
Take a moment before you answer. Now ask yourself:
What if happiness isn't waiting at the end of the journey, but hidden in the way you live it?
That's exactly the conversation Veda for Gen Z invites you into.
