Understanding, collaborating, and improving

Assorted tweets:

Some of the  modern Bengali sociologists are allergic to Sri Aurobindo. Reason? Sri Aurobindo asks for a refined life style, which they can't practise. I too can't satisfy the minimum standard set by him. But I don't speak disparagingly of Sri Aurobindo.

We need to be aware of those who claim to be working for Dharma, but follow the most adharmic ways and means just to satisfy their EGO and fulfill their vested interest. No sign and symptom of Dharma are to be found in their character. They want others to follow them blindly.

In my experience, the proud Hindu nationalists and promoters of hate seem wholly ignorant of dharmashastras, the beauties of the Bhagavad Gita or Shanti parvan, the deep thought of Ramanuja or Shankara. What exactly are they so proud of?

most religions/moral frameworks/cultures/state tacitly allow prostitution as an unavoidable market phenomenon that takes care of uncontrollable fluctuations in imbalance in demand-supply of "sex" through the state/insttn preferred "marriage" mechanism.

Be--and become--yourself; that would be so much greater & grander than anything else. Of course, there is so much to learn from one another. Good luck! https://t.co/ffZmcwYi40

Intellectuals not interested in reading Sri Aurobindo can be likened to a foreign tourist visiting many places but missing Taj Mahal. Finding value through rational search should have been normal, but indoctrination prevents most from accepting anything outside their safe limits.

Jefferson's choice of the word "happiness" has unfortunately led to a certain hedonistic streak and avoidance of "pain" in American life to the extent that "happiness" in its bowdlerized form is today privileged over "liberty"

Left strategy = constantly whining, complaining and finger pointing
Right strategy = constantly defending, heckling and digging heels
Smart strategy = constantly understanding, collaborating, and improving

In fact, his new book “Spirituality without God” prepares the larger background for proving more specifically in future the same attitude towards Sri Aurobindo. So here we are, we know the reason why he has been reinstated at the Archives with the connivance of the Ashram Trust – people in the Ashram are becoming too religious, so they have to be educated by Heehs in order to practise the sadhana as Yogi (or Bhogi!)
