Maximum leader syndrome, sir. Also, 24-hr election / propaganda mode. If elections are held today, I doubt he will win in Punjab again tho he will continue winning in Delhi (b/c other brands are worse there)!
Do you favour a two-party system?
Yes. The plight of AAP in Gujarat is an indicator of how difficult it is for a new political force to grow.
Such a bad show after Punjab victory was astonishing. All said and done, he has some appeal across the country.
Defeating AAP, BJP, and the Congress is important for a secure future of the country. All those who are voting for regional parties are unable to unite and hence have no voice at the Centre. A new national party will fill that vacuum and represent the majority of the population.
Calling it a Congress victory doesn't reveal the whole truth. The country is definitely looking for a viable alternative and the Third-Front patchwork is no match. Citizens must come forward to build a new party on the model of Savitri Era Party under The Mother & Sri Aurobindo.
Modi looked invincible till yesterday but 2024 can throw other possibilities now. No chance of Congress replicating this win elsewhere but can be a nuisance always. Odisha and West Bengal too need change. The people of India need to ponder over such prospects and act accordingly.
Many are rejoicing over the Karnataka results but my tweets prove that I'm not but am happy as Modi has been taught a lesson. Given the complex demographics, this election has been tightly contested and seems to be quite democratic and matured a poor show by JD(S) notwithstanding.
My life in the last century was spent in the secular atmosphere whereas this century has seen the dominance of Hindutva discourse. Two other influences the Western and Sri Aurobindo's form the four pillars. Integral in my circumstances would mean reconciling these four dimensions.
