I love Sri Aurobindo due to his breadth of knowledge, political activism and spiritual approach to philosophical questions. Yet, I doubt he would like to be called a philosopher as such because (as far as I can tell) he felt philosophers were too caught up in trivialities and confined themselves to purely the mental level of discourse.
