South Indian temples should stop allowing women until they enforce a strict dress code for women. This morning I visited the Mantralaya Temple and oh boy, I saw many women entering sleeveless, crop tops and skirts, while the temple has a strict dress code for men none for Women.

While this is a great story I think we should continuously emphasize the 5000 years of Indian history not 2500 years. There is a tendency among the west to only assign 2500 years to India whereas everybody is happy to ascribe 5000 year history to China

It is appalling to compare victims of different persecuted communities (Kashmiri Pandits and Tamizh Brahmins) to determine ‘who has suffered more’, as it reflects a disturbing mindset. Tamizh Brahmins were persecuted and driven out from their own state. They are VICTIMS. You better stop living in a denial world!

My impression is both @harshmadhusudan and @kushal_mehra have taken a position that the varna/jati system did more harm than good and those identities need to go. He is not able to reconcile that position with an admission of oppression that goes against the varna hierarchy.

This isn't a superficial solution. Across the world, it is Her Will that different specialised ethnicities and races that evolved in isolation over centuries to intermix to create a richer diversity and synthesis, needed for further human evolution. Sri Aurobindo predicted this.
Throughout the world, there is an increase is expanding boundaries, be it cuisine, music, arts or travel or even marriage. Those holding rigidly to old forms of caste, ethnicity, language, race will find it hard as their own near and dear may change drasticially.
