Western powers certify themselves as having reached the pinnacle of democracy. They even coined the term “Western liberal democracy” to differentiate themselves from the supposedly inferior non-Western, relatively poorer democracies.

Between the 19th and 20th centuries, Western nations built the foundations of their economies on colonial loot, slave labor, mass censorship and war. Decades after they industrialized and began to dominate modern global affairs, they embraced “liberal” values, and even that, selectively. The West has successfully convinced postwar generations that they grew rich because the state was moral and this makes them arbiters of truth and morality. In reality, to perpetuate the economic asymmetry these countries enjoy with much of the world, this sentiment is channelized through every public and private institution.

Any large developing country that adopted Western liberal values while trying to retain its indigenous characteristics and sovereignty, remained poor. One might cite Korea and Japan but both become vassals and host the US military. The former was deracinated while the latter was co-opted to support the US’ economy through its economic and interest rate policies. The goalposts of what is moral and “democratic” are consistently shifted by the developed nations to permit greater subversion of the developing country. Democracy is never considered on its own merit as a system that serves the country’s interest. It is in reality, meant to serve the interests of foreign nations which can retain power only be controlling as many variables as possible overseas.

There is no Hindu tradition of atheism. There were Indian traditions of atheism but they don't become 'Hindu' just because they get critiqued in Hindu philosophical texts. And to understand how deranged Indian atheism was, please refer to below thread of mine.

Relative economic decline of Western Europe (not just UK)/Japan over last generation has been stunning. So has been rise of democratic India and especially communist China. A rapid parallel decline has been of Christianity in the West + rapid rise of Eastern “pagan” spirituality.

The real problem on US campuses and in the US (and German and some European) public discourse today is that any criticism of Israel, Netanyahu, or Zionism is described as 'anti-semitism' or "hatred of Jews" to shut debate. 3/4 Those who do it do a great disservice to the fine Jewish tradition of dissent and defiance of authority. Listening to the students doesn't mean you support Hamas; seeking the return of hostages of 7 Oct should not make you Netanyahu's willing executioners. Ironies multiply. 4/4 Netanyahu and Hamas are mirror images of one another and need each other to survive. Those who care for Israel and Palestine should distinguish Israelis and Palestinians from this Manichaean divide that only benefits evil forces.

Just finished reading Nastik by @kushal_mehra on the contrast between the Hindu tradition of “atheism” and the Western concept of Atheism. Written in an easy style that clearly explains why a practising Shakta like myself and and a Nastika like Kushal see no contradiction in recognising each other as belonging to the same cultural and intellectual framework.

I don’t have any problems with anyone’s caravaka principles. I just have a problem with their blind hatred of Brahmins, even though they conveniently use the term “Brahminism” to hide their hate. I used to watch his videos until I saw he was a bottomline Brahmin hater.

Thanks for pointing ths very important fact. Kushal & hs gang (Sham Sharma-Abhijit Iyer Mitra) are Brahmin haters. Don't know where it comes from but in reality, their main target is Hindus (none of them r Hindu btw), Brahmins r just codeword to hide their real hatred 4 Dharma.

forced to say this; its an excellent article

why can't more intellectuals write this kind of articles?

all i read daily is how bharat is bad in meeting certain standards of western ideas of democracy, freedom, what not

all bjp supporters must also talk, spread this message

Some people peddle everything is related to Jews aka spreading Jewish conspiracy that is rank anti semitism. The elite or establishment i have elucidated in my book, the networking have got nothing to do with Jewish people or its religion. The criticism has to be policy based say like CBDC, Pandemic Treaty, Digital Id etc based on facts and the consequences for humanity. The moment u connect it to a religion u lose & de-legitimise the criticism of the elitist policies. For Eg CBDC has nothing to do with any religion, vaccines had nothing to with any religion. There are logic based criticism mounted like Dr Malone, Peter Mccalough & Dr Assem Malhotra. Even when u talking about Banking houses discuss the policies not religions. You have to keep in mind the establishment/elite are religious neutral what they seek is absolute total control as so many celebrated authored had warned humanity. So please stop indulging in Anti-Semitic stuff. Critique Israel/Bibi on sound policy dictum with facts. We should never bring religions when discussing the globalist policies. Discuss them dis-passionately without invoking any religious, racial, ethnic, class association. You would do a world of good.

"I have said it before, Wokeism is not an extension of liberalism anymore.  It is more often taking something so far that it becomes the opposite."   - @billmaher

https://twitter.com/aparanjape/status/1781920219017212287?t=IR9M_peZ65Hr2waMmiL-tw&s=19

“Taking something so far that is becomes the opposite” is both insightful (in that it does recognise the origin of wokeism as liberalism) and misses the point (it is the opposite only superficially, it has followed the same meta logic as its ancestor ideology)

Kind of. But I won’t even use the term “fulfilment” because that suggests this is the end point or a stable state. The meta idea of a permanent (or at least periodic ) revolution will consume wokeism also at some stage - there is NO fulfilment. To use a loose analogy it is like how medieval emperors ascended to the throne after patricide and fratricide. Each of these revolutionary ideologies have to first kill the ones that birthed them, and their sibling ideologies. The meta idea of this whole line of ideologies is “my inherited traditions are false, and THIS revealed set of ideas IS THE universal truth, which has to wash away the old to usher in a global utopia”. That meta idea, once incepted, can never get fulfilled, it will consume itself periodically, because there is no defence of “thus far and not further”

Kureshi: At a personal level, a judge needs 3 qualities. Courage, spotlessly clean image and total lack of personal ambition- only then you could be fearless.
