Sri Aurobindo: the science of the Infinite

Daily Meditation Tue, 22 Aug 2006 Religion in fact is not knowledge, but a faith and aspiration; it is justified indeed both by an imprecise intuitive knowledge of large spiritual truths and by the subjective experience of souls that have risen beyond the ordinary life, but in itself it only gives us the hope and faith by which we may be induced to aspire to the intimate possession of the hidden tracts and larger realities of the Spirit. That we turn always the few distinct truths and the symbols or the particular discipline of a religion into a hard and fast dogmas, is a sign that as yet we are only infants in the spiritual knowledge and are yet far from the science of the Infinite. - Sri Aurobindo ... Jerry! I think this duality is everywhere in the present human consciousness. That's what makes us humans. But this one thought of Sri Aurobindo on God could be enough to unite everything... "The knowledge that unites is the true knowledge " says Sri Aurobindo, and in saying he is not just polite or to impress all the followers of the defferent paths..his is a Divine Synthesis...of Raising High in Consciosuness and seeing the truth from each height we raise in the progressive unfolding of the Transcendental Truth -Consciousness.

This is what Rishi Aurobindo Ghosh meant. Even I feel that India in itself is an ethos and any amount of imitation of the west or anything short of pure statesmanship on the part of our social leaders will vilify it. ...

Etheric plane 18 hours ago by Nancy Brown
It might be argued that the etheric plane is in part equivalent to Sri Aurobindo’s concept of the subtle physical.[3] In Anthroposophy the equivalent is the etheric formative forces.[4]. Etheric region in the Western Wisdom Teachings ...
